For the rebrand of "For One Night Only," a popular comedy event in the Hertfordshire area, I aimed to modernise the brand while maintaining its playful essence. The rebrand included a fresh new logo, social media templates, posters, badges, lanyards, and stickers, all designed to create a cohesive and professional visual identity. Drawing inspiration from the energy of comedy and the universal association of laughter, I used a bold yellow as the hero color, supported by black and white to ensure a striking yet balanced look. The hand-crafted aesthetic was key to the design, creating a blend of playful charm and slick execution.
One of the design challenges was incorporating event details in a way that remained visually engaging without cluttering the designs. I solved this by developing a flexible table-based system that allowed easy updates for key information like dates and times.
The rebrand was a huge success, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from the organisers and audience. They even went and produced a 1.5 metre round print of the badge-style logo to feature prominently on the stage sets!
