Street Art Festival - Hitchin

Project type

Art Direction, Brand Identity

Date

2024

For the Street Art Festival Hitchin, I was responsible for creating the overall art direction that defined the festival’s identity. Collaborating with a local street artist who provided the tag-style lettering for the logo, I designed all other visual elements to ensure a cohesive and impactful brand presence.

To achieve this, I introduced a striking black, white, and orange color scheme, which quickly became synonymous with the festival’s aesthetic. This palette, combined with street textures and vibrant imagery from participating artists, not only highlighted the local culture but also gave the festival a distinctive and modern look.

In addition to the visual branding, I created a detailed pitch document for sponsorship, designed to give the festival a more official and professional appearance when being presented. Through a consistent use of the festival's brand identity and carefully structured layouts, the pitch was crafted to instil confidence in potential sponsors by showcasing the festival’s vision and value.

To support the festival’s promotion, I also designed social media posts and posters that reflected the energy of the event while staying true to the brand’s bold and creative style. These materials played a crucial role in attracting attention, building anticipation, and fostering engagement with the local Hitchin community.

The visual identity and supporting materials I developed have been instrumental in establishing the festival as a standout event, creating a cohesive and recognizable brand that resonates with both attendees and sponsors.
